You make our work possible

Our work is entirely funded by a growing community of members who stand up for animals.

Every investigation, every rescue, every intelligence report brings us closer to ending organised animal cruelty. Here’s how your support makes a difference. In the last 3 years, we have done:

Intelligence Reports

Investigations

Animals Rescued

AWIP’s work goes beyond just rescuing animals. It starts with intelligence reports, where we gather critical intelligence on individuals suspected of harming animals.

This intelligence feeds into investigations, where we conduct surveillance, undercover operations, and evidence collection to investigate animal cruelty and support prosecutions.

When the evidence is strong enough, we coordinate with enforcement agencies to carry out rescues, ensuring that animals are removed from harm and placed into safety.

Each step is crucial in dismantling organised animal cruelty, and your support makes it all possible.

Rescued from a lifetime of suffering

Hercules1

Hercules was rescued from the streets having suffered as a bait dog. He was used in dogfighting rings in North Macedonia. He lived a wonderful life but sadly passed away due to chronic health issues.

Dog meat trade in the Philippines

Our investigators rescued Blair from the dog meat trade in the Philippines. When we found her, she was on the brink of death but luckily Blair is now happy, healthy, and thriving at an animal sanctuary.

Prosecuting animal cruelty

Pebbles

Our investigator found Pebbles in a garden shed in Swansea, South Wales. Due to concerns for his welfare, we immediately removed him to a place of safety. We prosecuted his former owners who received a lifetime disqualification on owning or looking after any cats.

Bella 1

An animal rescue contacted our investigators to inform them that Bella had been severely neglected. Over an agonising period of two years she endured severe neglect resulting in extensive fur loss, a dry eye and ultimately, blindness. Her former owner received a ban on keeping dogs for two years.

Your gift will help save lives

From just £1 a month, you can be the reason animals like Hercules and Blair find safety and a second chance at life.

Your Impact 1

But your support does even more—it helps us fight for justice for cats like Pebbles and dogs like Bella, holding those who harm them accountable.

FAQs

How we use the money you give to us

We couldn’t carry out our life-saving investigations and rescues without you.

For every £1 you donate:

  • 88p goes directly to animal welfare programmes, funding critical investigations, intelligence work, and rescues to protect animals from cruelty. Your support helps us track illegal dogfighting networks, rescue animals from harm, and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
  • 8p is reinvested into fundraising, allowing us to reach more people, grow our movement, and fund even more investigations and rescues. Without this, we wouldn’t have the resources to hold abusers accountable and protect vulnerable animals.
  • 4p goes towards administration, ensuring we operate efficiently, manage our investigations responsibly, and provide the best possible support to our teams working on the frontlines.

Your generosity fuels real change—helping us expose abusers, rescue animals in urgent need, and drive action against organised cruelty.

Thank you for standing with us.
